This 4' x 6' window was made by Brenda for her husband who is in the broadcasting business. Most people recognize this as the "RCA Victor Dog" and the story behind "HIS MASTER'S VOICE". It was made in multiple sections and reinforced with rebar on the back to support it. It was installed on their enclosed deck between two fabricated and power coated steel frames.
Oh, and took two strong guys to install it!
This piece was made for a very nice lady who reached out to Brenda in need of stained glass window to go above a door between her bedroom and closet, as the space was empty for a long time. Brenda sat down with her and went through many colors and ideas - ultimately deciding on a simple contemporary design with just a few colors and multiple textures of clear glass - which gave it the nice patterns on the ceiling.
This delicate piece came to us in hopes of a new life. The window frame came out of the church the client's parents were married in back in the 50's. She was very clear on what colors she wanted and her design. Blue, gold, and clear - all straight lines. No circles. This piece sits in their sunroom nicely behind the vintage dirt bike which is on display in the same room.
For this project, the client reached out to Brenda with a design he had drawn many years before in hopes to one day find someone who could fulfill his dream of having matching stained glass windows created from his drawing. She took his design and made his dream come true. The client requested at least one be complete by a certain date to give to his wife for Christmas. The window was delivered on time and the other was not far behind.
This client dreamed of having a personalized transom above her door and wanted to surprise her husband with it for Christmas that year. Brenda sat down with the client and drew some ideas and took her plans back to her shop and created a piece specific to the clients request. Once completed, Brenda nicely gift wrapped it securely in a padded box and delivered it to them. The client was so excited to see it for the first time in person, but was more excited to watch her husband open the surprise.
A client brought Brenda this old cabinet that belonged to his grandmother. Is approximately 100 years old. Brenda was asked to take out the old glass and make new door fronts and to refurbish the cabinet. After discussion with the client, we decided to take out the shelves and replace with glass to highlight the new doors. Paneling was added to the interior with recessed lighting in the top. The outside was repaired where necessary, sanded and repainted, and a new top was added. The client's grandmother's name was Rose, so as a special touch, Brenda added rose colored glass to the panes and was able to delicately cut some of the original glass to use in the center of each window. Needless to say, there were tears of joy shed by the client.
